DESCRIPION:
- It is not adaptable for the dry wound.
- The wound should be cleaned and dried before being used.
- Alginate calcium dressing should be 2cm bigger than the wound area to make sure that the dressing could be adherent to the skin completely
- The Dressing should not be on the wound for more than one week.
- When the exudates on the wound become less, it is suggested to stop using the dressing and change to another kind of dressing, such as hydrocolloid dressing.
- When filling the combed top into the cavity, it should be started from the deep end and no space should be left or healing would be affected.
