INTENDED USE :
The CA19-9 rapid test, a chromatographic immunoassay for quantitative measurement of the
CA 19-9 tumor-associated antigen in human serum or plasma, is indicated for the serial
measurement of CA 19-9 to aid in the management of patients diagnosed with cancers of the
exocrine pancreas. The test is useful as an aid in: Monitoring of disease status in those patients
having confirmed pancreatic cancer who have levels of serum or plasma CA19-9 above the cut-off,
at the time of diagnosis. CA 19-9 values must be interpreted in conjunction with all other available
clinical and laboratory data before a medical decision is determined.
PROCEDURE :
1. Make sure the test is brought to room temperature (20-25 °C) before use.
2. Open foil pouch, take out the test and lay it on an even surface.
3. Apply 100 μL of plasma or serum sample to the sample well of the test device.
4. Insert the test cassette into the adapter and into the reader device. Make sure that the cassetteis placed in the correct direction. The arrow must point upwards in direction of the reader.
5. Measure the result 20 minutes after addition of the sample, then dispose of the used test appropriately.
